Whispers Beneath the Pavement

Whispers Beneath the Pavement is an invitation to listen — not with ears, but with imagination. This installation explores the hidden rivers of London, once open lifelines of the city, now entombed beneath roads, buildings, and time. Their disappearance speaks to a broader story of erasure: of nature shaped to fit the city's ambition. Yet, the rivers have not vanished entirely. Their quiet presence still courses below, asking us to remember what lies beneath our feet — and what it cost to cover it.
